No Mayo Slaw

This slaw is light, sweet, sour, spicy and delicious! Slaw doesn't have to have mayo and when I made pulled pork sliders I came up with this slaw recipe to give a nice crunch to the sliders.

Ingredients:
1/2 head of green cabbage, thinly sliced
1/4 cup pickles jalapenos, chopped
2 stalks of celery, sliced thinly length-wise into 3 inch juliennes
1/2 a small red onion, thinly sliced
4 Tablespoons rice vinegar
6 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 Teaspoon water
few dashes of Tabasco
 salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
1. In a medium sized bowl whisk rice vinegar, brown sugar, water until sugar is dissolved.

2. Now, add vegetables to the vinegar mixture, toss to coat, season with salt and pepper.

3. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes to mend flavors.

Enjoy!
